Album - Ignorance To Enlightenment And Back Again - Released 28th June 2021

Mild Horses is the new-ish incarnation of Matthew Leuw, who was previously involved with Norwich noise-poppers Crest, skronky Brighton art-punks Coin-op and was the guitar playing half of the lo-fi electro pop group 2 Hot 2 Sweat. These bands played/toured with a variety of notable bands (Deathcab For Cutie, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Mogwai, Inspiral Carpets, The Rapture, Trans Am, The Polyphonic Spree, Django Django, The Pastels, and British Sea Power to name but a few) recorded radio sessions for Radio One (John Peel, Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens), XFM and Virgin Radio and played around and about (SXSW, Latitude Festival and the BBC Electric Proms amongst others).
Having had something of a hiatus this is Matthew's first foray into the studio in quite some time and represents something of a career retrospective combining some of the sounds of his previous bands with an ambition to create something new and make up for lost time. The result is the album Ignorance To Enlightenment And Back Again which is a blend of dreampop guitar, synths and electronics with the occasional curveball thrown in for good measure.
