Dr. Veers’ debut EP ‘Who Owns the Moon?’ reaches for the stars
Glasgow, Scotland—Dr. Veers’s debut EP Who Owns the Moon? is gathering hype. Inspired by bands such as Nirvana, Weezer and Abba, producers Andrea Wright (Black Sabbath, Coldplay, Echo and the Bunnymen) and Stuart “Pockets” Crout help Who Owns the Moon? achieve its own particular sound, blending riff based 90s alt-rock with catchy hooks guaranteed to keep the listener entertained.
Made up of four members, Omar Al-Asadi (guitar) Dylan Forbes (vocals, bass, guitar), Angus Rive (vocals, bass, guitar) and Mark Adam (drums), who met at Glasgow University. All have different musical backgrounds from classical to grunge, a mixture that can be heard in their music while their lyrics draw upon heartbreak as well as experiences at university.
The title track Who Owns the Moon? has always been popular amongst fans since its release as a demo on Soundcloud which racked up over 500 listens. Now professionally produced, mixed and mastered, the EP allows people to hear Dr. Veers in a completely new way.
Dr. Veers have played within the Edinburgh and Glasgow nightclub scene for 3 years. On top of this they have supported Big Minds (supergroup of Big Country and Simple Minds) as well as We Are Dollstoy during their album release. They are touring Scotland this summer with a slot already scheduled at Party in the Park.
Who Owns the Moon? is slated for release on 3rd April 2020 and will be available across all digital platforms, featuring the original album artwork of Billy Sutherland.
